design process

PART 1 | QUOTE
*
all parts of the invitation design process are sent via my client management portal HoneyBook*
after you fill out the bridal questionnaire, i create a custom quote tailored to your needs and budget. this quote is not set in stone just yet, so we can discuss any questions you have regarding the investment and design process. i'd absolutely love to hop on the phone for a brief chat about any questions you have too!
once you have selected a quote proposal, you are ready to book with me! i require full payment up front.

PART 2 | SKETCH
once you are paid and booked, i send a quick questionnaire to get all of the fun details about you, your fiancé and your wedding day vision. i create a custom styling board with photos for inspiration, your color story and the first round of sketches that will start to bring your vision life. your package will include 3 complimentary revision rounds that allow you to make specific changes to the design. these invitations are the first impression your guests will have of your wedding and i want to make sure they receive one-of-a-kind,
jaw dropping stationery that represents you & your fiancé to a "t".

PART 3 | WATERCOLOR
let the fun begin! this is my FAVORITE part of the design process.
every watercolor illustration and calligraphy piece is completely hand drawn by me and then digitized, so I’m able to capture just about anything you request! I will scan in your watercolor artwork and start piecing together your invitation designs. this is when the magic starts happening- your designs go from sketch to the real deal! additional revisions to your design after this point are allowed but are an additional charge on a per revision basis.

PART 4 | PRINTING
once we have decided that your invitations are perfect on the digital side of things, you will be sent a final print proof to make sure that all names, dates, addresses, and information placed on the invitation are spelled correctly. my worst nightmare is that these beautiful paper pieces have been sent to the printers with a small spelling mistake or date error! once you have signed off on the final print ready files, you are good to go!
i send your invitation designs off to be printed and this typically takes 5-10 business days.

PART 5 | MAILING
if you're assembling & mailing your invitations on your own, they will be shipped to you after i have received them from the printers and completed a quality check myself.
however, if you have hired me to do the assembling +mailing (i would actually LOVE to do this for you!), i'll probably be addressing your envelopes as well. after the addressing, i'll assemble your invitations with lots of care and attention to detail, then i will deliver them to the post office. your invitations will be handled very safely to ensure as smooth of a mailing process as possible! I will even calligraph and mail you an invitation so you can experience the same joy as your guests when receiving your stunning invitations in the mail.
I will have a handful of extras available in case any invitations don't make it through the post for some reason or you if need to add a surprise guest or two.
